The Following YouTube Video was posted and I took the liberty to respond to some of the posters points that were made in the video.
Due to the fact that Comments were closed twice during our dissertation, I have decided to move it to this blog and for detailed in depth discussion..
We are commanded in the Word of God thusly…
1 Peter 3:15
But set apart YHWH Elohim in your hearts: and be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear:
Here is the video.
Dont get it twisted. I am against Creflo…. My Conversation with this Poster was merely to encourage him in his fight.
I have attached a pdf here of all the comments before the comments were closed. They may have been reopened, but at the time of this posting, they were closed.
Hence me moving it to this blog forum for hashing out.
I will pick up where we left off concerning RAHAB
NYTN said:
giles117, you are now trying to change the argument. You have now moved way away from what Creflo Dollar said.
He said “The Word of God” (meaning The Bible) is THE source of faith.
Rahab had no “word of God” (no Bible). Yet, her testimony is recounted in Hebrews 11, and James 2.
The only thing Rahab knew about God was stories she heard concerning how God brought them out of Egypt.
The stories she heard were not “The Word of God”. Nor were they “The Bible”.
I said:
Ahh you reopened comments. Ignore my email…
And I am not moving away. It is still the same vein!!!!
RAHAB HEARD!!!! HEARING IS THE ISSUE. HEARING THE WORD OF GOD. The Bible is a book of STORIES…. That Are recorded. A Collection of Letters, and comprehensively it is his WORDS TO US through these Various Authors. SHE HEARD THE WORD OF YHWH!!!!
DO NOT MISS THIS!!!! Either the Bible is or it isn’t!!!!!
Not shortly afterwards the comments were closed again. So let me pick up…..
The Bible records the following:
Joshua 2:9
And she said unto the men, I know that YHWH hath given you the land, and that your terror is fallen upon us, and that all the inhabitants of the land faint because of you.
Now, I ask this, How did Rahab Know this? She felt it? was it a quickening? or had she HEARD something….
She HEARD… The Next scriptures say so….
Joshua 2:10-11
2:10 For we have heard how YHWH dried up the water of the Red sea for you, when ye came out of Egypt; and what ye did unto the two kings of the Amorites, that were on the other side Jordan, Sihon and Og, whom ye utterly destroyed.
2:11 And as soon as we had heard these things, our hearts did melt, neither did there remain any more courage in any man, because of you: for YHWH your Elohim, he is Elohim in heaven above, and in earth beneath.
Let me ask this question… Do we accept the Bible as the WORD of YHWH?
The Logos of YHWH?
If we do, then what Rahab heard is no different. It is the Logos of YHWH. His Word… The Word of His Exploits by the pen or mouth of others.
Does it make it less his word that it was not compiled in this book at the time? No it doesn’t. It was his Word. She Knew something he SPOKE to Abraham and the crew…. She Knew his word. She heard of his exploits and Knew his word.
The Word of God is God.
Yeshuah said it this way:
Matthew 4:4 (KJV)
But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.
Matthew 12:36 –Matthew 12:37 (KJV)
But I say unto you, That every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment.
For by thy words thou shalt be justified, and by thy words thou shalt be condemned.
Luke 4:4 (KJV)
And Jesus answered him, saying, It is written, That man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word of God.
Luke 8:21 (KJV)
And he answered and said unto them, My mother and my brethren are these which hear the word of God, and do it.
Luke 11:28 (KJV)
But he said, Yea rather, blessed are they that hear the word of God, and keep it.
I can go on and on and on…. God and HIS WORD are one in the same.
If our words are not us, then this scripture is a lie
Matthew 15:10 –Matthew 15:11 (KJV)
And he called the multitude, and said unto them, Hear, and understand:
Not that which goeth into the mouth defileth a man; but that which cometh out of the mouth, this defileth a man.
NYTN also stated he did not know how God Created all things….
The Bible is Plain. In Genesis 1.. We read the phrase, “And God Said”
In Hebrews we read:
Hebrews 11:3 (KJV)
Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear.
I am opening this up to him to respond freely so we may come together in understanding. I believe him to be a believer and if I am in error, I want to see it made plain. I am not one for just tossing out scripture. I believe in explaining it (if it isn’t self-explanatory)
