Book Knowledge vs. Application

Thursday, September 2nd, 2010

There is a grave difference between those who read READ the scripture for the sake of book knowledge and those who do so for the sake of applying the knowledge of what’s written on it’s pages. -©2010 Kristal Kleer Publishing

The heathen (wicked religious) read the scripture for the sake of gaining knowledge to make themselves appear as some great ones. The Pharisees were such: knowledge hounds for the sake of telling others to do the very things that they weren’t willing to do themselves.

“All therefore whatsoever they bid you observe, that observe and do; but do not ye after their works: for they say, and do not. For they bind heavy burdens and grievous to be borne, and lay them on men’s shoulders; but they themselves will not move them with one of their fingers. ” (Matthew 23:3–4, KJV)

So, now we have this new breed of Pharisee, known as the avid church attender, who reads only what the preacher instructs them to turn to on Sunday or Wednesday. Let me correct that. They turn to the scripture, however, I am certain that the majority don’t actually read what is written. This would be the reason for their ignorance of what the Bible actually says.

“But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves. For if any be a hearer of the word, and not a doer, he is like unto a man beholding his natural face in a glass:…. ” (James 1:22–23, KJV)

“If any man think himself to be a prophet, or spiritual, let him acknowledge that the things that I write unto you are the commandments of YHWH. But if any man be ignorant, let him be ignorant. ” (1 Corinthians 14:37–38, KJV)

“My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: Because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: Seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy Father, I will also forget thy children. ” (Hosea 4:6, KJV)

The avid church attender loves to quote bible verses, however they are merely quoting and not even aware of what they are quoting. So, they are cool with having a bit of knowledge of the verses, however applying it would require that they take the time to study and know the truth of what is written.

“Study to shew thyself approved unto YHWH, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. ” (2 Timothy 2:15, KJV)

Your vision being clear with regard to your relationships can impair the opportunity of those whose desire is to use you to further their personal agenda’s.

Relationships wear all types of disguises: some are called mama disguises, father disguises, there are even friend disguises. Snatching these disguises from in front of faces of those you entertain gives you the real story behind your relationship with them and its value.

Like toto in the Wizard of Oz pulling the curtain that revealed the fallacy of the “Great Oz” So Mama’s Mess exposing the hidden danger of deadly relationships.

This book is for all of those that understand the pain of dead-lation-ships. This book is for those who seek answers for how to get out of those ships and into the cruise liners of life that float up the island coasts of peace and happiness despite Mama’s Mess.

Here are just a few reviews of my first book:

I finished your book at the airport yesterday and just broke down crying. Only God could have given you the strength to be able to write such a powerful book! – Ms. Edora (Washington, DC)

This book is informative on so many levels: 1) All the while I was reading Mama’s Mess, I just wanted to love my son more. I was constantly conscious of my mothering him, making sure he is all right. (calling him to my side for hugs and to tell him I love him); 2) Your openness and honesty sets the example for those of us who feel the need to hide mama’s mess to help keep up her perfect image;3) Gives us courage to once and for all take a stand, if for no other reason, the sake of the childern; – Ginger (Philadelphia, PA)

Thank you for sharing your story with me. Writing Mama’s Mess to courage and perseverance. You are a gifted individual, and you express yourself well. The book is Disturbing, Provocative, and Challenging.

I appreciate your handling of the word and sharing the insight God gave you. Your story challenges me to examine myself, to assess where I stand as a man.- C. Gist- (St. Louis, MO)
